Get Involved - Working Party

Owning a large old building takes a great deal of looking after. We are lucky to own our own building and looking after it takes a lot of time, effort and money.

 

We have a small team of member volunteers who maintain the building and undertake all the tasks required to make the theatre a safe and enjoyable place to enjoy our productions. Our working party are at the theatre every Wednesday afternoon between 1.00pm and 4.00pm.  Here we undertake general building maintenance, create the set for the next production, and improve the life of the building for all to enjoy.  If you’re able to help out on a Wednesday afternoon, then please do pop in. You will be made very welcome.

 

Although most of our main work is undertaken on a Wednesday, we do a lot of other things besides.  Many of you may have been to our theatre, and some of you have even seen or heard about our recruitment drive for assistance.  Some of you have even said that you felt you wouldn’t be much help to us.  How wrong you are!

 

Want to see what it’s all about?  Then all you need to do is come along!  You must never assume that you have nothing to offer. Everyone who helps us has found that there really is something to suit everyone!  So why not see for yourself?  Simply ‘pop in’ though the side entrance in Belgrave Place on a Wednesday afternoon, between 1pm and 4pm.  You’ll even get free refreshments!  Remember though, you don’t have to come every single week without fail.  There are many people who find it easier to simply come whenever they have some free time, and that’s what it’s all about.  Go on…  Give it a go!
